True North Performance

Thank you to Mike Babula for making VO2 max and RMR testing accessible to the public. I’ve wanted this data for a long time to help guide training for endurance events. Having accurate HR zones and ventilatory thresholds will be immensely helpful; far more accurate than the data I’ve been using for years generated from my wearables. Also, having RMR takes the guess work out of eating for recovery/performance purposes. Thank you for making this an enjoyable and actionable experience- I’d recommend for anyone trying to improve their general health or fine tune their training.

I am training for my first hundred miler. When I saw that True North was inside Mohawk Valley Wellness offering VO2 max AND Resting Metabolic Rate testing, I was very intrigued. I looked at my training calendar and found a suitable date. I went in and Anthony went through everything with me. He took the time to calibrate the machine to me specifically, explained everything to me with patience and expertise. The results of the VO2 max testing were DRAMATICALLY different than my Coros watch - by about 16 in my favor, and the RMR test was also significantly higher than what the Inbody machine reads for my BMR. I am empowered with this data to take back to improve my overall health and performance. Services are also really affordable. All around informative and very positive experience.
