Men's Vitality Center

I visited this place in early January. It appears to be their policy to charge new patients—even insured patients—the full cost of a visit ($260 at the time I went) regardless of the discount negotiated with your insurance. I was told that the difference would be refunded to me once they had an explanation of benefits from the insurer. After several weeks passed, I called and asked again about the refund of the difference (about $110 in my case): Would it be refunded to the credit card? Would it be held in account to apply against future visits? The woman I spoke to said that there is no one in the office who understands how the insurance discount works and they could not help me. No in the office understands how negotiated insurance discounts work! Their words. Instead, she suggested I email the owner of the business and gave me an email address. Okay, this is very strange, but fine, I emailed the owner. Three days have passed with no reply. I can't say I am surprised. I now suspect that this business intentionally over-charges new patients the full cost of a visit, despite insurance discounts, and simply hopes that customers will now bother to collect their refund. I will say, the nurse that saw me way very nice and seemed competent (I'll also mention I was not told when I booked the appointment that I'd be seeing a nurse; I specifically made an appointment to see Dr Evans) and that the staff I spoke to were polite. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for their awful business practice. I will not be returning (as a patient) to this place.

My PCP, James, goes above and beyond. Have not had to wait long ever to get an appointment. And then appointments happen on time or very close... that never has happened for me elsewhere. James spent 30 minutes even just discussing results and answering questions during my annual. He really cares and really looks after his patients. Try finding any of that at other doctor's offices - there you are just a number, here you are a valued patient. I highly highly recommend them for primary care and more.

Since I started going here I have received nothing but the best treatment. When Dr. Freeman left I thought that was the end of this experience. However the doctor who replaced him.has filled his shoes very nicely. The staff is wonderful very inviting and up tempo. My favorite MA is Jessica always attentive and on the ball with any and everything I have asked her. I would recommend this clinic over and over to any of my male friends and co workers.

I was in need of a full physical in order to meet a tight deadline for a foreign travel visa. I called and visited my clinics in Tucson and could not find a doctor who was familiar with foreign travel visa requirements. The closest clinic I could find was a 2-hour drive and 3 week waiting list in Phoenix. I then received a call from Dr. Freemans staff at the Men's Vitality center, I had sent off numerous inquiries the night before seeking help. I was reassured that Dr. Freeman was extremely well versed in foreign visa travel requirements! I was giving a very quick appointment and after meeting Dr. Freeman I was reassured that he could and would meet any deadlines I had with my pending travel! After completing all the needed labs and physical, I received a personal call from Dr. Freeman informing me that my packet was ready. Extreme professionalism and unsurpassed knowledge! Thank you to Dr. Freeman and his staff for all the hard work!

I can't recommend Dr. Freeman enough. I've had extremely poor experiences with every other doctor I have visited in Tucson - waiting months for a physical, or weeks for a visit, being rushed out the door or offered an impersonal and unsatisfactory level of care. Dr. Freeman is the first doctor I have had who provides top-level care with extremely personable bedside manner, and he always sees me in a timely manner and ensures my healthcare needs are met. Seriously the best doctor I have found across the 4 states I've lived in.
