View all on GoogleReview for men: I had mixed results. Some good, some not so good. The doctor, Dr. Felts is very knowledgeable and kind. At my first consultation, I decided to give testosterone injections a go. I started with 100mg injection, followed by an estrogen blocker. The first month went great. I felt energetic, I felt more positive overall, and confident. At the start of the second month, I was asked to “come in for a second consultation.” I did. And this is where the trouble started. After meeting with Dr. Felts, the meeting went well. He stepped out and Mina, his assistant stepped in to give me an injection. They up’d my dose to 200mg weekly, plus the estrogen blocker. She injected me and everything went seemingly well at first, but when I got home, I noticed TWO injection sites. I didn’t think much of it, but as days went on, I felt off. Like something was injected affecting my cognition. I also started having a weird form of ED where it would go soft just as the feeling of ejaculation was nearing. I’ve NEVER had this happen before. It was like my CNS was affected somehow. Plus my libido kind of tanked??? I brought this up to Dr. Felts and assured me everything was “okay, but my mind was out of sync with my body.” I continued on the 200mg per week of self injections, and ordered a three month supply. My energy, outlook, self confidence, my heart and endurance was strong, and workouts were decent. However, I started noticing my body fat was increasing (counter intuitive, right?), I was becoming emotional (even bouts of aggression which I cannot have as a father), and I was getting frequent nose bleeds (perhaps due to increased RBC)…not to mention my testicles were at least half their normal size - which looked weird. A few weeks in on 200mg, I had a routine check up scheduled with my PCP. He tested my testosterone levels, which maxed out their test at 1500, but he took me off of the injections. My estrogen levels were at 55 (normal should be 15 - 30 for men). It was a serious struggle in many ways getting off of testosterone. Terrible in fact. I asked my PCP for Clomid to help minimize the side effects of stopping T, which is what bodybuilders do. The bottom line is I would use caution if pursuing testosterone injections. If you do move forward, Dr. Felts is a good choice, but plan to be on it for life. If you have the money, you can add clomiphene or HCG to combat the sexual dysfunction and ball shrinkage side effects. Things are always unique for me as I am targeted by everyone for reasons unknown. I still wonder what was in that second shot causing the brain and CNS issue? It’s mostly resolved but not completely. I was rock hard down there prior to pursuing T injections (less five years ago when I was on other medication). My advice is think it through and understand it is a money commitment and there can be side effects.
No more hot flashes!! Thank you Dr. Felts and the great staff at Midwest Hormone Centers. Bonus—* I sleep better, joint pain is gone and I have increased energy. 🤗
This place is amazing. They have monitored all my labs over the last year and have me dialed in to where I feel 5 years younger.
Dr. Felts and his team are fabulous!
